Ibanez Guitars

Precision craftsmanship and amazing sound – Ibanez guitars at our online store

Ibanez guitars were among the first of the Japanese wave of electric guitars to hit the West, and has a history that dates right back to the early 1900's.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Ibanez is not a traditionally Japanese name, and that's certainly true. It wasn't until 1929 when the Hoshino Gakki company began to import, and eventually buy the lrights to produce, Spanish Salvador Ibáñez guitars.

Initially producing the familiar shapes favoured by Rickenbacker, Gibson and Fender, Ibanez started to branch out. From the 1970's Ibanez was forming a niche producing wilder shapes and appealing to the rock world, looking for a more outlandish look to their guitars. Over time, Ibanez has become a breed apart, producing not only wild shapes, but creating some truly elegant instruments.

We have the classic Ibanez Artcore guitars, with their handsome hollow body styles. These have a versatile sound that's ideal for jazz, country, blues as well as rock and punk. The resonance is outstanding, and the neck and bridge pickups offer a good, chunky sound and great midrange tones.

New to the Ibanez guitar range is the DN, or Darkstone, series. These are designed to be the ideal rock and metal guitar. Pulling together all of Ibanez' strengths, these great guitars have a the Tight-Tune Bridge, which provides a tough construction and amazing resonance. The Ball-End Stopper provides exceptional lock on strings too. With a crisp, clear tone and dazzling harmonics, this is a lead guitarist's dream.

You'll find these, and so many other amazing Ibanez guitars and accessories now available from our online store. No matter what your budget is, or if you're a beginner or more experienced, we have something for everyone.
