Fender's history with the guitar amps precedes Leo Fender's production of guitars. He began to produce tube valve powered amps in the mid 1940s, working with Doc Kaufman, creating the K&F brand amps. The range has evolved through the years, from the early days of the K&F amps, the Woodie, the Tweed and the Blonde. The range has developed to accommodate the needs of contemporary musicians, providing amps for electric and acoustic guitars and basses.

British through and through, Laney's own history is born out of the buzz of the Swinging Sixties. The UK was creating its own bands that would rival their Stateside counterparts, and Lyndon Laney was playing in his own band, The Band Of Joy, with a couple of unknowns at the time; John Bonham and Robert Plant! Being in a band, Laney understood the needs of musicians and was often approached by guitarists to build amps for them. Armed with knowledge and skills, the Laney guitar amp would become integral to British music right up to the present day.

Another legendary British guitar amp manufacturer is Vox. Spearheading the British Invasion sound of The Kinks, Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and the Beatles, Vox' range of amplifiers were synonymous with these incredible bands. Other famous artists, from Brian May, Paul Weller, Thom Yorke and Noel Gallagher and more still use Vox today. It has a unique edgy sound, creating the perfect amplification for so many world famous acts.
